Hightlands, 13th century. Two clans of rats, the Yarg and the Applewood clans, clash to gain control of the kingdom. But a heavy secret weighs on these two clans: each of their prince is secretly in love with the princess of the opposing clan... Who will win this power struggle? In the game Braverats, you will play with the Yarg or the Applewood. Your goal will be to guess your opponent's choices and choose the best card to play against him.
Braverats is a simple and minimalist game. Each player has 8 cards in hand (numbered from 0 to 7 and with a special power). Each player chooses one, lays it down and the highest card wins. But behind this great simplicity lies all the subtlety of the game with the action of the special powers of each card which allows the Princess of value 1 to win the match if the opponent has played the Prince of value 7. The special powers will therefore greatly influence the game and you will have to try to guess your opponent's intentions each turn to avoid getting trapped by choosing the easy way out. The first player to have won 4 rounds is the winner.
Illustrated with humor by Christophe Swal, Braverats is a simple, short and fun little card game that will soon become a must for two players.
