There is nothing left of the individuals infected with the zombie plague. They are now inhabited only by the need to kill. However, some people still maintain their most persistent habits. Necromancers obviously try to benefit from it: their experiences led them to create deadeye walkers, former archers and hunters transformed into empty and macabre shells. The process rots their flesh, but allows them to retain their archery skills.
That's where we stand, with walkers carrying weapons from a distance, using them at long range with diabolical precision as soon as they spot us. The worst? It's that they never tire, chasing us without a break or respite.
