Welcome to the Forest of Grimm, where members of the family of the legendary Three Little Pigs are hosting an epic house-building competition. But this is no ordinary competition, as all the characters from the most famous fairy tales are around & will even lend a hand sometimes. Who will benefit more from Robin Hood's cunning, Snow White's beauty, the abundant gifts of the Golden Goose or the dark sorcery of the Queen Witch?

Using only his wits, a handful of sharp steel tools & a few stacks of resources harvested at great risk from fields, quarries, & even the dark & murderous Forest of Grimm, each player must compete to be the first to build 3 Houses & win the title of Royal Builder. Players are encouraged to use all the sneaky tricks they've read in the many collections of Fables found across the country. Some will have their plans ransacked by that old villain, the Big Bad Wolf, while others will fill their carts with bricks, straw & wood. Who will brave the dangers, avoid the immoral monsters & bring victory home? There's only one way to find out... prepare to venture into... Forest of Grimm!

The Forest of Grimm is a strategic game for 2 to 4 players of Secret Movement, Resource Gathering & House Building. It is a medium difficulty game that lasts about 45-60 minutes. During the game, players will secretly play cards to move through various Places, where they will attempt to collect Resources. Using their deductive skills & a hand full of Fable cards, players try to guess each other's plans & make the most of their actions while disrupting those of their opponents.

After collecting Resources during the Harvest Phase, players will enter a Construction Phase, where they can use those Resources to build Houses of Wood, Straw or Brick. Each time a player builds a Section of Walls for one of his Houses, a Helpful Friend from the nearby forest comes to offer a hand. Players may choose to accept that Friend's help, but sometimes it makes more sense to send that Friend to another player, sometimes discarding their current Friend in the process.

With 16 unique Fable cards & 12 powerful Friend cards, gathering resources in the Forest of Grimm can be a particularly difficult undertaking. Work hard, deduct correctly, avoid the treachery of other builders & the sharp teeth of bark monsters, & you might just have a chance to succeed!
