Batman(TM): Gotham City Chronicles is a miniature board game in which 2-4 players control the Dark Knight and his allies in scripted battles, using an open-ended, asymmetrical gameplay system. Each game is played within a scenario in which two sides face off in an action-packed conflict. One player takes on the role of the villain and controls the most infamous criminals in Gotham City. The other players take control of the heroes, who must work as a team to foil the villain's plans. Each side takes its turn, hoping that its strategy will achieve the goals set by the scenario.

Each game of Batman therefore follows a scenario that sets the mood, the setting, the location of the action, the set-up of the game, the number of rounds and the specific objectives for each side that must be achieved in order to hope to win.

The game features two opposing sides: the heroes and the villain. We wanted to highlight this dynamic as soon as you see the boxes. Yes, "the boxes", because one box will not be enough to hold everything you have.

This separation into two boxes has another important advantage: it makes it easier to set up a game. The heroes' box contains the heroes' boards, screens, cards... everything they need to play. The villain's box contains the miniatures, tiles, dice and everything needed to prepare the command centre and the upcoming battle.
