In Dungeon Twister each player takes on the role of a team of 8 adventurers and creatures who are teleported against their will into a mechanical maze full of traps. Your team consists of 8 characters and 6 objects. The board is made up of 8 independent square rooms which have the property of turning on themselves. This means that the maze can change at any time. First of all you have to select 4 characters from the 8 available. They will be your 4 starting characters, and will take place on your starting board. The other 4 characters and all the objects will be placed face down, one after the other by the players on the labyrinth rooms. "The world is divided into two categories: those who die and those who flee...

The aim of the game is to score 5 victory points (VP). You score 1 VP when you kill an opponent's character (those who die) and you score 1 VP when you take one of your characters out of the opponent's starting line (those who flee). At the beginning of the game, each player has a hand of 14 cards (9 combat cards, 3 jumps and 4 action cards giving you 2 to 5 actions). On his turn, a player chooses an action card and performs as many actions as indicated by the card he has selected. The 4 basic actions are : Reveal a room (as they are face down at the start of the game). Rotate a room (when one of your characters is on the rotation mechanism). Move one of your characters (according to the movement factor indicated on the miniature). Fight (according to the combat value indicated on the miniature). You can divide your actions as you wish between your various characters still alive! In addition, each character has a small but often useful power, which sometimes requires the consumption of actions.

When a player has finished his actions, it is up to the other player to perform his actions. When a player has no more action cards, he gets back his 4 action cards.
