Ticket to Ride

On a rainy autumn evening, five lifelong friends meet in one of the oldest clubs in the city. All of them have travelled extensively around the world to meet on this particular day... It is October 2, 1900. Exactly 28 years earlier, the eccentric Londoner Phileas Fogg was betting £20,000 that he would complete his round-the-world trip in 80 days.

Bet won. At the time, while the newspapers were reporting Fogg's triumphant journey, the five friends were together at the university. Inspired by this ambitious bet, they in turn made a bet, albeit a more modest one, whose winner would receive a bottle of Château Margaux for being the first to join the Procope in Paris.

Each year, they gather to celebrate this anniversary and salute Fogg's achievement. Each year, a new expedition, always more difficult, is born, and a reward, always more expensive, is put into play. Today, at the dawn of a new century, it is time to take the challenge of an impossible journey.
The stakes: $1 million! The objective: to cross as many cities as possible in the United States by rail in just 7 days! Let the adventure begin....
