79 BC. Sylla, the undisputed master of Rome, is about to abdicate. During his reign, the Roman Senate regained its splendour and many are the contenders for supreme power. But Rome is a capricious mistress, the people are hungry and are demanding bread and games. Only the most skillful politician could take advantage of this situation....
The players play as Roman senators in search of prestige. They use their wealth and connections to build major projects and solve the republic's political problems. At the end of the game, the player with the highest prestige wins the game and takes control of Rome.
