Root is an asymmetrical game of adventure and warfare in which players battle for control of a vast wilderness. The evil Marquise of Cat has taken over the great forest, intent on harvesting its riches. Under her rule, the creatures of the forest have banded together. This Alliance will seek to strengthen itself and overthrow the Cat regime. To do this, the Alliance can call on the help of the wandering wanderers who are able to travel the most dangerous paths. Meanwhile, the Eyrie will attempt to lead their birds of prey to control the forest.
Each player has unique abilities and a different victory condition.
