Paul Bonner, an Englishman born in Yorkshire, has lived in Copenhagen since the early 1990s. After graduating from Harrow College of Art in Illustration, he moved to London as a freelance illustrator and worked on many children's books. He then spent three years at Games Workshop's design studio. After moving to Denmark, he continued his collaboration with Games Workshop and also contributed to titles such as Mutants Chronicles, Confrontation de Rackham, Shadowrun and Riotminds.
Zombicide: Green Horde was funded on the Crowdfunding Kickstarter (See the campaign) platform on the 27 June 2017, the campaign lasted 28 days. 27,236 people helped funded the game, whose the amount requested was $300,000.00. Thanks to these 27,236 people the game could be funded up to $5,004,614.58, ~1,668.20%.
