Imperator

Imperator, the JDR of ancient Rome, proposes to travel the newly conquered world, to extend the empire by negotiation, trickery or sword, to confront strange primitive magic and to climb the social ladder. Who knows, perhaps one of the characters will one day be emperor? Imperator is a historical role-playing game by Bruno Guerin (Antika) that takes place during the long period of the end of the Republic and the beginning of the Roman Empire. It is a time of transition, which is going through a period of turmoil and fear of change. In these turbulent times, the old Republic is being transformed, giving opportunists their chance. The old Roman beliefs were shaken by the appearance of new religions imported from the confines of the Empire, although myths and legends persisted. On rare occasions, your path may cross that of a fantastic creature or you may witness the magic of the Terra Incognita. In these troubled times, even the gods may support you if your exploits attract their attention.

Imperator is a heroic role-playing game in which players play as heroes for whom only Glory matters, be it fleeting or lasting, for only it will engrave their name in eternity. Your characters will obtain Glory by going beyond their limits, by victories or by conquering territories until they climb the highest steps of power. Julius Caesar, Augustus, Mark Antony, Nero, Cicero, Pompey, Spartacus, Cleopatra, Vercingetorix... are just some of the names of historical figures who left their mark on this era and we suggest you take a walk with them.
