Each player takes two standies in the same color and chooses one to place on the space marked “1” on the gameboard. The other standie goes in front of the player as a color reminder. Divide the cards into the Door deck and the Treasure deck. Shuffle both decks. Deal four cards from each deck to each player. Place the rest of the cards in the appropriate spaces on the gameboard.
