The dreaded Black Death has struck the city of Bristol. You race through the streets in one of the three available apple carts, desperate to escape to the safety of the countryside. If your cart is the first to leave the city and it is filled with only healthy villagers, you and your cart mates have managed to escape and win the game! However, some of the villagers in your cart may already have the plague! They hide their first symptoms from you so that they can enjoy their last days in peace. If you leave town with a sick villager in your cart, you will get the plague. You must do whatever is necessary to prevent this from happening!
On the surface, Bristol 1350 is a cooperative team game, a racing strategy and a social deduction. In reality, it is a selfish race to get out of the city as quickly as possible without the plague, by any means necessary. The game comes in a magnetic book box and includes a rubber play mat, 9 wooden counters, 3 miniature carts, 6 rat/apple dice, a canvas bag and 64 cards. The deluxe version adds 6 pieces, 6 cards and 3 metal carts. This stand-alone game is the fourth volume in Facade Games' "Dark Cities" series, following Salem 1692, Tortuga 1667 and Deadwood 1876.
