Finish Your Plate! is a game that could give life to the new saying: "Appetite comes with play". As its name suggests, just like the illustrations on the cards and the box, Finish your plate! is a gastronomic game. More like an orgy than a diet, since the aim of the game is to... finish your plate (hence the name!) while your opponents try to fill it. At the beginning of the game, each player will receive 3 dishes (3 "Plate" cards) which are various and varied: chocolate éclairs, fried chicken, etc. This is the menu he is supposed to finish (except that the other players may add dishes to it during the game).
On each "Plate" card (i.e. for each dish) is a number of small forks (2 or 3) of a specific colour (green, red or blue). To finish a dish, you must play action cards (called "Fork" cards) of the corresponding number and colour. For example, 3 green forks are needed to finish a dish of ravioli with stew: the equivalent of 3 green forks must be played. The "Plate" cards (as a reminder: 3 at the beginning of the game) are placed face down on the player who must eat them. Each player receives 4 "Fork" cards which he keeps in his hand (he will always have 4 during the game). Each player in turn must perform the following actions: draw a card from the "Fork" pile, play one of their cards in hand, placing it on the table opposite the dish concerned.
When a player has placed the required number of forks (of the correct colour) in front of one of their dishes, the dish is finished. The "Plate" and "Fork" cards are placed in their respective discards. The winner is the player who manages to finish his last "Plate" first.
Contents of the box : 14 plate cards, 27 fork cards, 5 special cards (2 extra plate cards, 5 plate change cards), 2 game rule cards.
