Reiner Knizia, né en 1957, vit à Munich. Docteur en mathématiques, il a déjà publié de nombreux jeux dans plusieurs pays. Parmi ses plus grands succès, on peut citer «Keltis», basé sur «Les Cités perdues», qui a reçu le prix du jeu de l‘année en 2008 en Allemagne.
