Risk: Express, part of the Hasbro Express range, is a fast-paced game of conquest. Fourteen discs are laid out at the start of the game, each showing one or more countries and the symbols needed to conquer those countries, with the symbols separated into battle lines. Each card belongs to a continent, with some continents having only one card and others having up to four. A player starts his turn by rolling seven dice, the six sides of which represent artillery, cavalry, general and infantry 1-3. He then chooses a card and uses the symbols rolled to conquer exactly one of the battle lines on that card (by placing the appropriate die on that line). If he succeeds, he then rolls the remaining dice, ideally to conquer another line; if he cannot conquer a line, he removes one die from the game, then rolls again. His turn ends either when he has conquered all the lines on the card (in which case he claims it), or when he has no more dice to roll.
Each card is worth a certain number of victory points. You can conquer cards belonging to other players, but you must conquer an additional general line to do so. If a player has all the cards of a continent, these cards are safe and cannot be stolen. Furthermore, these cards are now worth more points because you have united the continent under one ruler (you). When the last card is claimed, the players count their points and the one with the highest score wins.
