Gosu, there are 100 goblins divided into five clans (if you see a possible connection with the five colors of Magic, you are not mistaken, the author and publisher being or having been serious practitioners of the famous card game) and three levels. By recruiting them, you will try to create the best possible army, the one that will be able to quietly reach its opponents. The goal of the game is to win three battles, in order to become the super warlord who brings her back.

A player's army takes the form of three battle lines. In each of them, a maximum of five warriors, all of a given level. At most, a player can therefore have three lines of five goblins, or 15 cards. The first is devoted to the troupiers, levels 1 then, above them, levels 2 and, logically, levels 3 at the top. The particularity of this structure is that there can be no more gobs at one level than at the lower level. Same thing for the clans. To install a level 2 blue goblin, you need one on level 1. The players take turns playing one action each, until everyone passes.

In itself, this is not a big game. The thing is that all these goblins have specific powers - increasingly powerful with levels - that combine within the same clan or even between clans. Some powers are permanent, others need to be activated. Unfortunately, during a round, a player can only use two activation chips that are also used to draw cards. Dilemma will often be the watchword... Some Goblins can also mutate, i.e. be replaced by another one, which can trigger other powers, etc. In addition, Black Goblins can mutate with other discarded ones before.

There are still a lot of other tricks in the rules like trapping a card, the principle of free or not cards that protects your most important gobs and levels 3 that all have a power that changes the rules and even allows alternative game ends. However, the best way to win is to win three battles. At the end of each round, when all players have stopped playing cards or using activation powers, a battle takes place. Each army totals a certain number of military value points, 2 for the first level then 3 then 5, just add up the total and compare to know the winner.
