Each player chooses a set of pirate cards and a bag. Put the deck of cards in the bag. Put the unused pirate card decks back in the box. Place a treasure chest map (visible colour side) in each chest; the colours of the chest and the map should be different. Then close the chests and place them in the room as far away from each other as possible. Choose places that are easily accessible to all players: e. g. on the floor, on a shelf, on a window ledge, etc. It is important for every player to know where the treasure chests are located! Finally, place the compass on the ground in the middle of the room and place Pirate Fex on it.
Contents of the box : 4 coloured treasure chests, 4 sets of 5 pirate cards, 4 treasure chest cards, 1 compass card (= compass), 4 bags, 1 Pirate Fex, 1 game rule.
