Titanium Wars

The war for Titanium has begun! As explorers ventured into Limbo, at the edge of the galaxy, they discovered a new form of energy: Titanium. Initial experiments have shown that it pushes the limits of technology and even opens up new fields for human capabilities. That's all it took to fan the lust of the great factions of humanity: each one sent its own fleet to take possession of the planets around Limbo, where Titanium is abundant.

From then on, conflicts are inevitable and only the control of Titanium sources will determine the winner of this war... and the future sovereign of the entire galaxy! Build buildings to access new technological innovations. Expand your fleet and improve your ships with powerful equipment. Conquer new planets teeming with Titanium and adapt your tactics to defeat enemy fleets!

Players represent the leaders of the different factions (each with a special ability) and compete in each game turn for possession of a new planet. The planet of the next round is known, and determines a special rule that applies to the current round. Each round is composed of 3 phases: Production: Each player earns money according to the revenues allocated by his starting planet, the planets conquered in previous rounds, as well as the refineries he has built. Construction: Each player can spend money to acquire one or more of the 18 types of cards available, provided they have enough money, have the required level of technology and respect the size limit of their fleet for Unit cards, the slots available on their ships for Equipment cards, and the free slots on their playing planets for buildings.

Combat: Once equipped, players compete for the conquest of the planet. They simultaneously select and reveal a Tactical card from their hand, then apply its effects in the order indicated on the cards. Most Tactical cards allow you to activate certain types of units to attack opposing units. Each player can distribute the damage inflicted as he wishes among the opposing ships. If a ship takes as much damage as its defense value, it is destroyed. Once the effects of all Tactical cards have been resolved, each player chooses to continue combat or retreat. They can then redo their Tactical card hand (or even discard more by paying) and continue the fight. As soon as only one player remains in play, he wins the planet map and a new round can begin.

The game ends as soon as one of the players reaches the Titanium threshold determined at the beginning of the game (and can be adjusted according to the number of players and the desired game duration). He is declared the winner.
