For the glory of Rome ... or rather yours !!! Roman Gaul, 1st century of our era. In his wisdom, the Emperor Augustus wishes to raise a citizen of Lutetia to the rank of Senator. To obtain this recognition, you will have to become the most influential notable by controlling the strategic places and the vital resources of the city: sharp swords, nourishing bread, prodigious potions or delicious cervoise. And if your tactical sense is not enough for you to emerge victorious from this fierce struggle, you still have the bribes ...

At each turn, players seek to collect cards from the 4 Characters and 4 Places available, to control Resources, earn Victory Points or enjoy their special effects. Each player simultaneously and secretly chooses 2 Action cards from his hand: the Letters are used to designate 1 Character, the numbers are 1 Place, and the Revenues are worth 3 Gold. Before revealing them, players can pay bribes in the form of gold coins.

Each player then unveils the cards played, and immediately takes the eventual income. Each character card is assigned, then Location: if only one player covets him, he / she recovers the card; if several players have played the corresponding Action card, the one with the biggest bribe takes the card (and eventually pays for it), while the others get their wager plus one coin. If a Character or a Place is not chosen by any player, it remains in place and a piece of gold is added.

As soon as the character or place pick is no longer enough to replace the cards recovered by the players at the end of the turn, the game ends. Each player accumulates the points reported by his resources (10 points for the majority player, 0 for the minority, 4 for all the others), by the powers of certain places and by his fortune (1 points for 3 pieces). The player with the highest points total wins.
