The world is big and your kingdom is gigantic. It's not really a kingdom anymore, it's an empire - which makes you the emperor. That gives you a better chair, the more you can name a salad after you.
It's not easy being emperor. The day starts early, when you light the Sacred Flame; then it's hours of committee meetings, trying to figure out exactly why the Sacred Flame keeps going out. Sometimes your armies take control of a continent and you have no idea where to put it. And there is the risk of assassination; you have a food taster, who tastes anything before you eat it, and a dagger tester, who gets stabbed by anything before it stabs you. You've gotten into the habit of staying home whenever it's the Ides of anything. Still, all in all, it's a great job. You wouldn't trade it for the world, especially considering how much of the world you already have.
In Dominion, each player starts with a small, identical deck of cards. In the center of the table is a selection of other cards that players can "buy" as they can afford. Through their selection of cards to buy, and the way they play their hands, players build their deck on the fly, trying to find the most efficient path to the precious victory points at the end of the game.
This is the eleventh title in the Dominion series. Dominion - Empire adds 96 metal tokens and 300 new cards. There are cards you can buy immediately and pay for later, piles with two different cards, and landmarks that add new ways to score points. VP Tokens and Events from previous sets are back.
