1066, In Fury and Blood is an asymmetric tactical card game covering the events of 1066 in England. Each player, as either Normans or Saxons, gathers troops and resources to overcome the various obstacles in their path before their two armies clash on the battlefield at Hastings. In 1066, In Fury and Blood, players alternate turns in which they play cards and build their army by deploying units, characters and tactics as well as events. Everything is based on what happened historically in this campaign.
But as they battle each other, players must also defeat the historical objectives that Harold and William encountered on their way to the Battle of Hastings, such as fighting the Norwegians at the Battle of Stamford Bridge or gaining the support of the Pope before the perilous crossing of the Channel to England. In the end, the Battle of Hastings is represented by three Wing cards. Players compete for Wings by trying to inflict 10 points of damage on each of them. If you organize your hand and your army well, you will manage to conquer two Wings before your opponent and thus win the battle and the game! The game also features a single player version with different difficulty levels for the AI.
