Big Monster takes you on a journey of discovery to a colourful unknown planet, where you will discover strange monsters, rare crystals and complete missions in which you compete with other explorers. In the team mode you have to help your partner while trying to "spoil" your opponents, because the lowest performing explorer of each team is the one who will determine the final score. Each turn your discovery of the planet will be symbolised by the tile you choose and place in front of you. An original draft mechanic, where you can choose who you pass your remaining tiles to, creates a strong interaction but also offers real choices, with each action. Turns are naturally punctuated by the affected draft mechanics. The variety of tiles and the draft system offer permanent dilemmas.
Around a very simple mechanic (I choose and place a tile in my play area) Big Monster offers an immediate pleasure associated with a real learning curve. A first level of pleasure appears in the discovery of a colourful world, then in the subtleties in the choice of tiles and finally in the assignment of tiles to other players. Fun, tactical, quick to explain and quick to play, Big Monster is for families and expert players alike!
