The dam-building competition is in full swing in Dam It! Who can build the most valuable dams from the different types of wood? The highest dams earn the most points, but you have to keep the rubbish away from your dams because no one likes to see that, so don't overlook the beaver rubbish collection teams. In detail, before you start playing, arrange the fifteen dam cards into five piles according to the total 'sum of dams' at the top of the cards; for cards with the same number, stack cards worth more points on top of those worth less.
Shuffle the deck of wood, trash and rubbish cards and arrange four of them in a row face up; give each player four wood cubes. On his turn, a player builds a dam or takes a card. The player can take the leftmost card for free; if he wants another card, he must place a wooden cube on each card he skips. (If you take a card with cubes on it, add them to your reserve for possible use later.)
