In their quest for power, the Kingdoms are gradually breaking the locks of forbidden knowledge. Necromancers and alchemists dig a little deeper each day, towards the gates of the Overseas World. At the risk of awakening something beyond them... The 20 new units and 6 new buildings included in this "Beyond the Gates" expansion will transform your Paper Tales experience. It preserves both the balance of the basic gameplay and greatly enhances its possibilities and replayability, whatever the configuration.
Players now begin the game by randomly drawing 7 of the 11 available buildings. Each new Building brings new strategies, and the 20 new Unit cards have a strong impact on the game. Paper Tales - Beyond the Gates also contains all the necessary material to be played by up to 7 players.
It also contains an exciting single-player mode in which a single player must face off against the powerful armies of the Lich King. This new single-player mode, based on the Necropolis and Lich King maps, simulates an artificial intelligence that gives you the same feeling as the multiplayer game. It offers a challenge that adapts to your level of play, while remaining very easy to set up.
