In Valeria: The Kingdom - Scarlet Seas, you'll get maps to new and distant lands beyond the borders of Valeria, allowing you to import goods from Araby to increase your victory points, buy high-powered Tomes to increase your resource production, rescue captured Nobles from the evil Amarynth Empire and plunder the riches of the Cursed Island. But beware of the sea monsters, which are growing in power and causing chaos throughout Valeria. At the top of the game area is a new game board called "The Islands".
To access the islands you must use a new action called "Sail" and to sail you must spend a card token, then you can access Araby to obtain goods, Nae Aerie to obtain tomes, Exekratys to recover lost resources and Amarynth to rescue captured nobles. This expansion features new icons, new tokens, new mechanics, new card types and new cards for all existing card types.
