Eminent Domain is an Empire building game in which your Empire's abilities are represented by a deck of Mission cards. At the beginning of the game, each player has an identical deck. Each turn, you will have to choose a mission to accomplish and you will add one of the Mission cards to your deck. When you order a mission, you can enhance its effect by playing cards from your hand corresponding to the chosen mission. For example, the more searches your Empire launches, the more its search skills will increase - as your deck will contain more and more Search cards!
During the game, players increase their influence across the universe by expanding their Empire, funding research and trading. You will prospect to find planets, then colonize or attack them to integrate them into your Empire (by turning over their cards) in order to appropriate their potential and influence. The resources you produce on the returned planets will enrich your business, and you will study these planets to look for new technologies. At the end of the game, the player whose Empire has the most influence will rule the entire galaxy!
