Discover the varied pleasures of royalty: obsequious advisers, poor decisions and backstabbing. Reigns: The Council is an asymmetrical party game for 3-6 players, in which the monarch works for the harmony of his kingdom while his advisors seek to influence him to achieve their own goals.
A player is crowned monarch and, during his reign, decides which of his advisors' requests he supports or refuses. Each decision influences the state of the kingdom. If one of the four pillars of society becomes too powerful or too weak, it means the end of the reign, a terrible death for the monarch and a victory for the advisors whose secret goals have been achieved - a new heir is then crowned, and a new reign can begin.
