The sunlight glistens in a small pool of water nestled inside the leaves of the bright red leaves of a Bromelia. A small Poison Dart frog leaps from the water and hops along the narrow branches of the tree. The hot amazonian sun shines down fiercely on the highest trees, but almost none of that light reaches past the canopy formed by the intertwining leaves. A deep guttural call of a Howler Monkey...

Les rayons du soleil scintillent sur une petite poche d’eau, nichée au creux des feuilles pourpres d’un bromélia. Un dendrobate bondit hors de l’eau et saute de branche en branche pour se réfugier à la cime de l’arbre. L'ardent soleil amazonien darde intensément ses rayons sur les arbres les plus hauts. Cependant, peu de lumière perce la canopée, trop densément constituée de feuilles et branches entrelacées....
