The construction of a temple dedicated to Sobek is underway. A huge market has emerged nearby, supplied by the steady flow of feluccas and pirogues along the Nile. Your merchant guild is determined to take advantage of this incredible opportunity, and ready to use any means to grab sumptuous goods out of your opponent's way. But beware, it will be crucial not to have accumulated too much corruption when the time of reckoning comes.
In Sobek: 2 Players, both opponents collect and sell goods to earn the most victory points. On his turn, the player chooses from 3 options: take a tile from the market, sell a set of goods or play a character. When the player takes a tile, he chooses one from the row of the Ankh counter and adds it to his hand. He then places the Ankh counter on the line indicated by the tile he has just taken, which determines the choices available to his opponent. When a player has enough tiles in his hand, he can sell a set of at least 3 tiles of the same type. These tiles will earn him victory points at the end of the game, depending on their quantity and the number of beetles they contain. A player can also use a character to benefit from its powerful special ability.
In Sobek: 2 Players, it's all about timing. Planning ahead and analysing the opportunities you offer your opponent during his next move is the key to making the best moves and winning the game.
