Twisted Fables

Twisted Fables is a fast-paced fairy tale fighting game inspired by old school 2D arcade games. In Twisted Fables, players take on the roles of beloved heroines from some of history's most famous tales, myths and legends. Ripped from their traditional setting, these characters have been cast into a world of cybernetic assassins, magical manipulation and malevolent darkness. These are not the classic characters you remember, but rather super-powered fables drawn from their own lands to fight in strange alternate dimensions and realities. What mysterious force has brought them together? What is the purpose of their war? Only the Tale Weaver knows for sure.

Based on deck building, Twisted Fables is a game for two players in 1v1 mode or four players in 2v2 mode (available with the 2v2 upgrade pack available separately). In the game, each warrior strengthens their abilities, learns powerful new skills, unlocks devastating special powers, and uses unique asymmetrical strategies to defeat their opponents. Even the same character can display completely different fighting styles depending on the player's decisions. The different specialisations a character can choose from not only provide fantastically flexible tactical choices, but also an extra layer of depth and surprise to this frenetic fighting game. Twisted Fables provides deck builders with a highly interactive experience that you will want to return to again and again. The book is open. The fables are born. Let's get started.

Twisted Fables was funded on the Crowdfunding Kickstarter (See the campaign) platform on the Oct 29, 2020, the campaign lasted 14 days. 2,703 people helped funded the game, whose the amount requested was $50,000.00. Thanks to these 2,703 people the game could be funded up to $162,330.00, ~324.66%.
