Welcome to Ephios, a technologically advanced city that has been politically divided since the High Governor abdicated. It is now your turn to take over the governance of the city, but you will need to gain popularity with the residents. Use your connections with local political figures and build alliances that sway public opinion. There are 2 game modes in Ephios: Classic and Campaign. In each mode, you must be the first player to reach 70% popularity on the popularity map. The crossroads is the place where the city's political figures meet and is symbolised by four face-up cards. There are two types of cards, inhabitants and characters, each character belongs to an alliance.
During your turn, you must choose one of four possible actions: Recruit: Buy a figure at the crossroads by spending your persuasion points. Debate: Dispose of a figure from the crossroads to gain 2 persuasion points. Use: Activate the effect of a figure or inhabitant, then discard it. Unite: Discard 2 figures belonging to the same alliance from your hand to gain popularity. At the end of your turn, you must complete the crossroads. A campaign consists of several quick games, but with variations of cards depending on how the round ended. Each campaign is unique and you will learn more about the history of Ephios as you meet new figures and alliances.
