Animals from all over the world gather for the Hula-Hoo Championship! Their goal is to hold the hoop as long as possible. This is represented by cards. The goal is to get rid of all your cards; or to make all the other players give up ("drop their hoop"). Each player starts with five cards in their hand, plus five open cards in front of them. When it is their turn, they can choose to play one of their open cards or one from their hand.
The first player plays any card and asks the next player to play 'higher' or 'lower'. A player can follow this request, or 'double down' - play the same card as the player in front. Then everyone must double (or break the double with a neighbouring card or a joker. A player who cannot play drops his hoop and is eliminated from the round. When only one player is left, or when a player has discarded all his cards, he gets back as many cards as he played in that round. The first player to reach 77 points wins the game.
