The word "telos" is an old Greek word meaning "end" or "goal". It is therefore not surprising that in Telos it is the last part of a trick that counts. Telos is a game of skill in which you must save your lowest card for the last trick. Winning the last trick gives you points, and in this case the points are negative. The first player to get 32 points loses the game. Saving your lowest card seems easy enough, but the challenge comes from the fact that each player has to play a higher card than the highest card already on the table in a trick. If a player cannot play a card equal to or higher than that card, they must play their lowest card instead. Players must therefore be careful about which card to play and when, in order to tactically save their lowest card for last.
