In 1920s Sydney, Australia is rife with underhanded grogs, prostitution, cocaine, theft and fraud. Razor-wielding gangsters rule the streets, led by two crime queens, Tilly Devine and Kate Leigh. But you, the police, have not been idle. The holding cells are overflowing and you must now work as a team to gather the evidence needed to convict each suspect. Be careful - one wrong move means a criminal is on the loose...
Fallen Angels is a unique deduction game. Each card has two of the six possible evidence icons on the front, but only one of those two icons on the back. Each player fans their cards so that they can see one set of icons, but the other players see the other set. On his turn, a player chooses a card and the other players lay out their hands to indicate which of their own cards have the icons they can see on the back of that card. The player must then deduce which icon(s) are on the back of their card, taking into account that what they see in the other players' hands is not exactly what they can see themselves. If they deduce correctly, the evidence may be enough to convict a suspect. But if they deduce incorrectly, then that suspect is acquitted. To win the game, the players must together convict ten suspects without acquitting too many. The cards feature historical mugshots of real suspects arrested in Sydney, Australia, during the razor gang era of the 1920s.
