Dragons Arena is a tactical dice taking game for two players. Each player starts with 8 dice (dragons) of his own colour (white or red) spread over a square area of 4 by 4. In turn a player must eliminate one of the opponent's dragons using one of his own dragons. The game ends when no more dragons can be eliminated. The winner is the player with the highest sum of the powers (on the dice sides) of his or her dragons.
A dragon can capture an opponent's dragon if it is adjacent to it and the power of the dragon eliminated is less than its own (except the "1" which takes a "6"). The targeted dragon is removed from the arena, the dragon that eliminated it takes its place and power. For example, a red "6" eliminates an opposing white "4". The white "4" is removed. The red "6" takes its place and becomes a red "4". Easy! Well, as a result, the powerful red "6" has become a "4" not only much more vulnerable to capture, but also earns fewer points at the end of the game. There you have it, all the salt of the game is there; you have to find the right balance between eliminating your opponent's dragons while exposing yourself and decreasing your own power in the arena, isolating your dragons in order to preserve points but eliminating less, sacrificing dragons to force your opponent to eliminate the ones you want...
