Rome & Roll

We are in 64 AD, during the days following the great fire of Rome. Now everything must be rebuilt! 1 to 4 players will compete by throwing dice, drawing and conquering in order to return this great city to its former glory! Rome & Roll is a "roll & write" type of strategy game in which you play as an influential character, from a merchant to a military leader to a high-ranking civil servant. All asymmetrical, these characters offer many possibilities of strategies to take advantage of your opponents.

Gain influence and become the adviser of Emperor Nero! By rebuilding the city, you will also make grow your own notoriety. In this highly interactive game, the most influential player at the end of the game will become Emperor Nero's main advisor, and thus the second most powerful character in Rome! During the course of the game, you will build a special dice reserve to collect and exchange resources, construct buildings on the seven hills of Rome, raise legions to restore the hold on the rebel colonies, and renovate the network of Roman roads to connect them to the Eternal City.

You will draw directly on the erasable boards to record your results and keep track of your progress in Nero's favor. Political alliances and the gods themselves will have a role to play in helping you rebuild Rome and defeat your enemies.

Rome & Roll was funded on the Crowdfunding Kickstarter (See the campaign) platform on the Nov 4, 2019, the campaign lasted 25 days. 2,239 people helped funded the game, whose the amount requested was £10,000.00. Thanks to these 2,239 people the game could be funded up to £64,563.00, ~645.63%.
