You are an archer practising the discipline of KYUDO. You are taking part in a great competition allowing everyone to show their mastery of archery. Your objective is clear: to become a grandmaster by succeeding in placing your arrows on your target before your opponents, while keeping a maximum number of spectators. Indeed, the spectators are fickle, and can leave your stand at the mercy of your opponents' exploits! Each Archer starts the game with 20 spectators in his personal stand.
The Archers take turns playing clockwise. During his turn, an Archer throws the 4 dice, in order to try to achieve a combination allowing him to hit his target, or to progress in the table of exceptional shots, or to call upon his personal talent. To achieve his combination, the archer can throw the dice a maximum of 3 times (on the first throw, he throws all 4 dice, and on the next two throws, he can re-roll all or part of the dice). When he decides to stop (usually at the end of the 3rd throw, but he can stop on the 1st or 2nd if he wishes), he triggers the effects related to the combination obtained. The plastic counters supplied in the game box are collected in a small fabric pouch that matches the dice tray. In addition, sleeves are included with the character cards, making for high quality material.
