The kingdom of Magna Verita looks like a land where the popes would have stayed in Avignon and would have established a very authoritarian theocracy preventing technology from progressing. This is the reality that would have had to take hold in France if, at the time of the invasion, storm knights had not succeeded in grafting a cybernetic chip onto Pope John Malraux I, thus modifying his axioms. France was thus invaded by a cyberpapacy instead of a post-medieval theocracy.
All the ingredients of the cyberpunk style are present with the possibility of navigating in virtual mode on a computer network detailed in the divine network supplement and whose nodes/terminals are the country's churches controlled by the agents of the cyberpapacy. As in traditional cyberpunk, a wide variety of cybernetic accessories can be grafted onto the body, and the excess of prostheses can lead to forms of madness. Special chips containing souls in purgatory or faith chips for indoctrination complete the traditional panoply of cyberpunk: ultra-powerful mechanical or sensory prostheses, sophisticated weapons and sensors, powerful drugs.
