The strength of Technological Japan is that its invasion goes unnoticed, especially on Earth. The laws and axioms of the world are subtly different: profit, treason, crime, ambient despair and technology are accentuated, magic and spirituality are totally erased. The Stellae's installation is done by buying land and installing harmless machinery. Lord Kanawa managed to go down to Japan without being noticed, but used force in South Korea, and uprooted the Stellae from the Living Earth in San Francisco, letting people believe that Baruk Kaah had been pushed back.
