When the prison of Roctourment burned to the ground, the prisoners, the guards and a group of particularly vicious lunatics died a terrible death. In the years that followed, the inhabitants of the nearby town of Ravengro avoided the burnt ruins and now they tell stories of restless spirits wandering in abandoned cells. But when a mysterious evil disturbs the precarious spiritual equilibrium, a mutiny breaks out and threatens to consume the neighbouring village in madness and flames.
