For most people, death is a liberation, the passage to the righteous rewards of the afterlife. But the dead do not always rest in peace. Legends and tales told by the fireside tell of people too evil to die, of people too puffed up with pride or too consumed by their occult knowledge to agree to cross over to the other side. Their wandering souls become the living dead, those who haunt the darkened crypts or the silent streets of cities and small country villages, devouring the innocent or spreading their immortal epidemic like a plague.
The Undead Revisited and Corrected studies ten undead (or races of undead) from real-world stories and honoured traditions of role-playing. Each section explores in depth the creation and ecology of each monster, its interactions with its victims and the other undead, offers tips and tricks for managing their role in the campaigns, and offers alternative versions of each to make them even more useful during the game. In addition, each includes an example of a monster, with a complete profile adapted to the Pathfinder role-playing game, ready to be integrated into a game in progress.
