Four frogs jump around the pond while croaking loudly. They have discovered flies on the water and want to make it their meal. But only the lucky and careful one can catch a fly before the heron takes it away. The goal of the game is to be the first to catch two flies.
The tray represents concentric circles around the pond, cut into radii. The squares thus formed are either grass or earth. The circle closest to the pond represents flowers of different colours. This is where the heron moves (by crushing the flowers of its large clumsy legs, if it's not unfortunate to see that!) The frogs are placed on a grass square on the outer edge of the board, at the player's discretion.
