The authors of DIAM, Alain COUCHOT and Bernard KLEIN, have brought together all the ingredients to make this game a real gem - its name sounds like a gem, just as the octagonal shape of the board also reminds us of its design. This game deserves its success because while it offers a beautiful wooden product, it has very simple rules and impressive depth. It can be played by 2 to 4 players. The objective is to place 2 identical colored pieces on 2 diametrically opposed squares on the same height level.
The sensations that emerge around the game are amazing. DIAM is very dynamic because at any moment, you have the feeling of being close to victory. But this simplicity is deceptive because at each move your opponent(s) can discover your intentions and launch a counter-attack. The slightest mistake is fatal, the game is lost and revenge is necessary.
