Second version of Monopoly Brittany. A maritime region by essence, Brittany has 1,200 km of extraordinarily indented and varied coastline: the Emerald Coast, the Pink Granite Coast, the Coast of Legends and the Gulf of Morbihan never cease to enchant us. The Argoat (inland Brittany) offers a very different charm from the Armor (coastal region). Less populated, it has been for a long time, by its uneven relief, a land of hard life where plateaus and small mountains alternate with forests and moors. The legends have remained very alive, influencing the literary life.
Brittany was definitively annexed to France in 1514, but it continues to cultivate its own identity through the richness of its traditions: its famous flag, its costumes and headdresses, its manifestations of religious fervor (pardons), the cult of Saint Anne, the Breton language are living examples. Breton art, deeply religious, has left many testimonies: cathedrals, churches and rural chapels, bell towers, porches, parish enclosures were carved in granite and give the region a particular dignity. Seduced by all these resources, to which should be added those of sailing and fishing, Brittany attracts many holidaymakers each year. First agricultural region of France, it also plays a leading economic role.
