In a lost land, a very old ghost haunts a ruined dungeon. A few reckless children silently climb the worn steps of the old staircase. Each one wants to be the first to scare the ghost with a loud "BOO! But the ghost knows this ancient game and has put a spell on the staircase: one by one the children turn into little ghosts themselves!
Each player in turn throws the die and moves their pawn as many steps as the number of points indicated. But if the die represents a ghost, the player can turn a piece of his choice into a ghost. The player concerned must remember the ghost he is hidden under if he wants to advance to victory. But when all the pieces have been turned into ghosts and they start to swap positions, things get complicated. Whoever can find their way through the jumble best wins the game! A fun hide-and-seek game with friendly ghosts where you have to be clever to get to the top of the stairs first.
Since its release, Spooky Stairs has won numerous awards and has been particularly well received by players. Even if the game started a little while ago, you can still have a good time playing it, below the reward obtained by the game : 2004 (Spiel des Jahres Kinderspiel).
