But to get what you are looking for, you will have to take control of your ship, travel to the far reaches of the Universe to get rich while avoiding the many traps that await you... The Universe, the whole Universe, just for you... In "Space Pirates", the action starts with the creation of YOUR Universe using the many decor elements at your disposal: stars, galaxies, asteroid belts...The game box has been designed as a decorative element in its own right to serve as a boundary or even as a central element of the game if you wish (the 4 edges are designed for this purpose). You can define the inside of the box as a black hole that cannot be crossed and that you will have to go around... This freedom allows you to renew your games endlessly, both in terms of the length of the game (the larger the universe, the longer the game) and in terms of the number of scenarios.

The other remarkable point of the material present in the game is the 3D Pirate Ships mounted on transparent masts and whose base serves as a yardstick for all your movements. It is also advisable to paint your ships to personalise your game... Your prey: the cargo ships are represented by round counters, one side of which is hidden from your eyes in order to keep the nature of the cargo transported secret. How does my ship work? Once the Universe has been created, each player chooses his starting Pirate Den and places the ship of his colour in the Den's Hangar. Be careful, no more than 2 ships per Hangar, a subtle rule that creates small moments of tension when you have to be the first one in...

The action can finally begin with the placement in the Universe of the cargo ships you are going to board. Each player in turn places several Cargoes wherever they want, but the player on the left will decide its final location by 'flickering' the Cargo in any direction. Next, each Pirate takes 5 Energy cards to use as fuel to move. A Pirate ship moves on its turn by the number of Templates (the size of the ship's base) indicated on the Energy card played. The Energy cards have values ranging from 1 to 5 Templates. The other interest in the choice of an Energy card lies in the Alleas it offers. These Alleged Events are the salt of the game because they allow you to "pichenetrate" asteroids that damage ships, to put into play a fearsome Cosmic Storm or to move all the ships in play thanks to the Solar Winds that will undoubtedly lead you to hit a planet! These Alas are also the driving force of the game because it is through them that new Cargos enter the Universe (following the same rule as the initial set-up of the game) for your greatest happiness!

In Space Pirates you are always on the move. You always choose an Energy card at the beginning of your turn. The greater the distance to cover, the fewer the number of Alleas. The active player is called the "Pirate en Vogue", because he is in the spotlight. To capture Cargo ships, one of the Templates must touch a Cargo counter. He secretly learns about the Cargo, which can be quite harmful when it comes to the Galactic Police... The chase begins to get rid of this real scourge of shady business! With your cargo filled with "borrowed" goods, you return to the Den of your choice to exchange your cargo for Mega Credits (MC). The Mega Credits not only allow you to replenish your energy cards but also to buy the Den you want. Indeed, once you have your 15 MCs, you will be able to buy this little piece of space paradise and at the same time get much closer to your victory objective: 1 Pirate's Den and a certain amount of money defined at the beginning of the game. A complete board game with miniatures, or a complete miniature game with (few) board rules...?

Space Pirates is a game that combines management of your hand of Energy cards, tactics of movement and bluffing around the Cargos, skill in "flickering" these famous Cargos in your favour and an ounce of teasing spirit when it comes to playing dirty tricks on your old friends...
