Trolls, orcs, goblins... The bloodthirsty hordes are camped in front of the ramparts of the fortress, the last defense protecting the human lands. Unceasing waves of creatures surge against the walls, siege machines darken the sky with their fiery projectiles and the unholy magic of the shamans falls upon the defenders. No matter the losses, the fortress must fall! But the task proves to be difficult as the walls seem impregnable. It is a wall of steel that stands before the attackers: muskets and cannons decimate the first lines, before swords, maces and halberds mow down the most reckless. The slightest breach is immediately filled, the songs of the monks galvanize the troops and the surgeons treat the wounded to get them back on their feet. But will this be enough to contain the fury of the Darkness?
Stronghold offers you the chance to take command of a horde of invaders or the defenders of the fortress. As the Assailants, you'll have to use your cunning and strategy to sweep away the humans. As a Defender, you must understand the enemy's intentions to thwart their attacks until you win. Stronghold is playable with 2 or more players and offers an exciting 3 and 4 player team game mode!
