A masterpiece by Martin Wallace! Cornwall, England, in the 19th century. Copper and tin mining is booming. In search of fortune, you seek to dig mines where the largest veins are found. However, you have to deal with seepage: water invades the tunnels and must be pumped out. The deeper your mines go, the more water you have to pump out. Fortunately for you, steam pumps have just been invented and, with them, trains and ships to transport the coal to feed them. You can also drill drainage tunnels to get rid of the water and find new veins of ore.

The price of copper and tin drops or rises dramatically, so pay attention and sell when demand is at its highest. With the profits, you can buy other industries, although prudence dictates that you keep enough money to buy new mines.
