Carcassonne is not only the name of a city in the south of France, it is also a symbol of the struggle of heretics against the oppression of the Church in the Middle Ages. Even today, its ramparts and fortifications continue to impress. Using tiles on which cities, monasteries, roads and fields are located, players enlarge the board turn after turn. Players place their supporters on the different tiles around Carcassonne to get as many victory points as possible. Depending on where they are placed, partisans will become knights, monks, thieves or peasants.
To win, be a good strategist!
Since its release, Carcassonne has won numerous awards and has been particularly well received by players. Even if the game started a little while ago, you can still have a good time playing it, below the reward obtained by the game : 2001 (Spiel des Jahres).
