A board game about the search for power during the High Middle Ages. In the middle of the 6th century, the city of Constantinople was the largest emporium of the Byzantine Empire. Built on the shores of the Sea of Marmara and the Bosphorus Strait, its location allowed it to dominate the maritime trade of the region. Increasing commercial activity and the growing export of local goods to the surrounding cities was an opportunity for merchants of the time to amass wealth.
In Constantinopolis, players are merchants of the Byzantine city, seeking to gain reputation by developing flourishing commercial activities. To become the greatest merchant of the Byzantine Empire, it will be necessary to manage the production of merchandise and the needs of the market, while directing its merchant fleet in order to export the most wealth.
